Emmanuelle Alt is the newly appointed editor in chief at Vogue Paris, and her highly anticipated first issue with the mag has dropped! The April cover features super model Gisele Bundchen.
Alt is no amateur to the fashion world, starting out as an assistant for french Elle in the early 90’s, working her way up to fashion director & editor with smaller publications such as 20 Ans and Mixte Magazine. Her most recent post was house stylist for Balmain and Isabel Marant (she quit after accepting her new position at Vogue).
Emmanuelle is one of my favorites, her style is beyond major… I think everyone is looking forward and excited to see what she brings to the magazine in light of Carine Roitfeld’s departure.

This quite possibly may be the most stunning renovation I’ve seen in a while. Any New Yorker knows and is quite familiar with the “building up” concept (not enough room to expand; using height instead of width). This beautiful Upper Eastside Carriage House in Manhattan is absolutely breathtaking and the epitome of building up! Gut renovated over a 2 year period… It’s just been completed. The first floor features include a curb cut entrance and can accommodate a car, the living room has a 20 foot celling, fireplace and a rear glass wall. The 2nd floor living room features a fireplace with ceilings that soar over 18 feet. The 3rd floor dining room has a terrace which overlooks the garden and outdoor kitchen. The 4th floor has 3 bedrooms and baths. The 5th floor is the master suite with fireplace, skylight, bath, huge dressing room, and a home office. The finished basement has a gym, bath, laundry room, and storage. The house has a large commercial grade elevator and a dramatic steel staircase.

Here’s a look back at some my favorite images and heartbreaking moments of 2010…
From the massive BP oil spill to the hottest shows of the year, these were the moments most of us will never forget and may have even experienced. Haiti suffered one of the worst earthquakes recorded in history, the country is still recovering from the catastrophic devastation.
The Mid-term Election was another disappointment of 2010. But, on a brighter note… The spotlight shifted to Chile earlier this year. An accident at the copper mine trapped 33 miners 2,050 feet underground, all were rescued and brought to safety after an unbelievable 69 day ordeal.
There were so many HUGE moments this year, I hope I’m not forgetting any.
I still can’t with Tiger Woods’ shenanigans! SMH

Keep your eyes out for 19 year old Brit Betty Adewole, who is killing the runways overseas… In addition she’s been spotted in the pages of V magazine and trotted down the catwalks of Martin Margiela, Emanuel Ungaro and Loewe. Betty will be making her debut stateside, this February during New York Fashion Week!
Loves seeing some color on the runway!!

Ok… So, I’m really excited about Keri Hilson’s sophomore album “No Boys Allowed”
This album gives the world a birds eye view of who Keri is… As a woman, a lover, a friend, being in lust, falling in love and letting her guard down! … It’s very honest and empowering!
I can only speak for myself when I say, this album expresses our vulnerable sides along with our independence in life and love! N.B.A is amazing and feels good… I hope you enjoy the album and love it as much as I do!

A friend called me yesterday and asked for a favor.. She needed some help shopping & updating her closet.. Her husband is a well known figure and she feels like she should give a little more when toting around the city! I’ve suggested to her going for a “NEW” look and turning it up a bit! I sent her a few of my personal favorites from designers such as Burberry Prorsum, YSL, Balmain, VLP, Halston, McQueen, Chloe, Lanvin, Mandy Coon, Moncler Gamme Rouge and Alexis Mabille
She was totally into most of my choices, but was a bit concerned about the silk/sequin embroidered Balmain pants… Hey, I feel like you can always return what doesn’t work. Right?
Needless to say we ordered everything… Hope she likes and her hubby doesn’t gag over the bill!

The Lanvin (pronounced “Lahn-Vaan”) for H&M collection has been unveiled.. Since around mid September fashionistas have been eagerly awaiting a look at Alber Elbaz’s mass-market designs, due in stores late November.
